ABOUT
Founded jointly by UCL’s School of Public Policy, and the student society of The Department of Political Science- the International Public Affairs Society, the International Public Policy Review (IPPR) provides a forum for debate, discussion and online networking in the emerging fields of Global Governance and International Public Policy.
As a rigorous student-led academic publication, it publishes both original research and innovative commentary. The IPPR is broadly divided into a blog, podcast and annually published journal, each focusing on an array of controversial topics with the aim of igniting fruitful debate amongst the student community and society at large.
The aims of the International Public Policy Review are:
To promote interdisciplinary work in international relations and public policy;
To provide a platform for the first publication
To stimulate fruitful and forward-looking debate on politics, particularly issues related to global governance and international public policy
Aside from serving as an important academic forum, the IPPR has two other goals. First, it is designed to be an effective research tool for practising policymakers and students of international public policy. Second, it provides opportunities for junior scholars and team members to develop their own editing and writing skills. Accordingly, the team seek to create a formal and informal online presence in the realms of commentary, debate, interview and blogging.
The mission of the Review is to be the premier research resource for students, academics and decision-makers within the growing field of international public policy. The latter is broadly defined as pertaining to all areas of governance and public policy that are either international or strongly affected by international factors.
